The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
